Profile

Dr Aby Koshy is a gynaecologist by training, specialising in the treatment of infertile couples. He is a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Sunrise Assisted Reproduction Centre, Sunrise Hospital, Cochin. The hospital OPD is operational from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays. 

Dr. Aby Koshy graduated from Government Medical College, Kottayam and completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He is a University of Pune Gold Medallist. He has been awarded the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) title and passed his Membership examinations of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) of the United Kingdom. He was elevated to the RCOG Fellowship in 2021. Dr. Koshy completed advanced training in Reproductive Medicine at Homerton University Hospital, London, United Kingdom. He has worked as an IVF specialist in three different hospitals in India and overseas. He has published papers in peer reviewed international journals and medical books. At last count, his research papers have been cited by 372 scientific publications. He is also a member of the National Advisory Board of the 'Journal of Human Reproductive Sciences'.

  • Post graduate dissertation: Genital tuberculosis in infertile women: Study of aetiopathogenesis, clinical features and treatment modalities. This study involved the use of polymerase chain reaction techniques and laparoscopic evaluation to diagnose tuberculosis in women presenting with infertility in a tertiary care hospital.
